On July 19, the Tsinghua-Chengdu Institute of Planning & Design Joint Practice Base for Graduate Students was inaugurated.

    President of Chengdu Institute of Planning & Secretary of its (CDIPD) CPC General Branch Hu Bin, Vice President Zeng Jiuli, Vice Secretary of SOE’s CPC Committee Liu Jianguo, group leader of graduate affairs of SOE Sun Fu, and representatives of CDIPD members and SOE graduate students attended the ceremony. It was presided over by vice secretary of CDIPD’s CPC Committee Zhang Shijin.

    Hu Bin said the Joint Practice Base was a win-win opportunity for both sides, as it could help the students learn more about the society and industry, and also promote talent selection and combination of production, education and research. Liu Jianguo hopes for more cooperation between the two sides and encouraged the graduate students to learn from the front-line engineers to help them prepare for future careers.
